Certificates of Sponsorship

The PBS legislation introduced Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS), replacing the Work Permit scheme. CoS are assigned using the UK Border Agency's (UKBA) online Sponsorship Management System.

The CoS system is a self-certifying system, meaning checks which were previously made by the UKBA must now be completed by your company. If you fail to comply with the legislation in full or fail to retain the prescribed documentary evidence demonstrating 100% compliance, your company will be fined and your licence maybe suspended or revoked.

Additionally, the service helps to populate the relevant UKBA and Consulate forms and provides you with a check list to ensure that you and the employee have remembered all relevant documents and information which must be submitted in support of the application.
